Munson, Rondini advance on Day 1 of ITAs

WEST POINT, N.Y. -- Caitlyn Munson and Olivia Rondini won a pair of doubles matches to highlight day one of the ITA Regionals at Army West Point.

Munson and Rondini, playing together for the first time in their careers, will compete in the Round of 16 on Saturday. 

Doubles Recap

• Munson and Rondini opened their day with a convincing 8-2 victory over the duo from Fordham.
• They then faced the duo of Bretkelly/Lin from Yale, who had received a bye in the first round. Munson and Rondini were able to win the thriller in a tiebreak, 8-7 (7-4).
• Bryant's doubles team of Sarah Hickey and Manuela Gomez Estrada fell to Fordham's Aude/Li, 8-4.

Singles Recap

• Leanne Kendall picked up Bryant's lone singles victory on Friday, defeating Li from Fordham, 6-2, 6-3.
• Sarah Hickey dropped a heartbreaker to S. Chratian from URI in three sets.
