Garlacy inks final member of Class of 2019

SMITHFIELD, R.I. – Head coach Theresa Garlacy and the Bryant University volleyball team has announced the signing of Kristin Kingi, thus finalizing the incoming Class of 2019.

A native of Thousand Oaks, Calif., Kingi was a three-year starter on varsity for head coach James Park at Thousand Oaks High School. She helped the Lancers to a perfect 14-0 record and a league championship as a sophomore and an overall record of 36-6 in her three years as a starter. She played her club volleyball for Los Angeles Volleyball Academy (LAVA).

Kingi was named Second Team All-Marmonte as a sophomore before earning first team honors in each of her final two years. She was named the best offensive player in 2013 and went on to earn First Team All-Ventura County and was named the MVP of Thousand Oaks High School as a senior.

Kingi's brothers both played volleyball at UC Santa Barbara. Chad graduated in 2014 and Austin is currently a junior.

The signing of Kingi completes the Class of 2019 that also includes Sophie Hoekstra, Julia Malet, Grace Richmeyer, Margot Ruffieux and Kirstyn Sperry. To read the full release, click here.
