CoSIDA Release

SMITHFIELD, R.I. – Bryant University volleyball senior Ally Lunsford (Minneola, Fla.) has been named to the CoSIDA Academic All-District team for Division I District 1, as announced Wednesday by the College Sports Information Directors of America.

Lunsford holds a 4.0 GPA as an Applied Psychology major. The senior middle blocker leads the Bulldogs with a .288 hitting percentage in 26 matches and has added 0.88 blocks per set. Lunsford has been in double digits in kills 10 times this season.

Bryant enters Friday's Northeast Conference semifinal against Central Connecticut with a Division I program-record 21 victories and captured its first NEC regular season co-championship with an 11-3 mark in conference play.

Lunsford is the third Bulldog in as many years to be named CoSIDA Academic All-District, joining Debora Magalhaes (2015) and Vika Katzen (2016).
