Coach Garlacy Announces 2024 Schedule

SMITHFIELD, R.I. - Bryant volleyball coach Theresa Garlacy has announced the team's 2024 schedule. The Bulldogs will compete in up to 32 matches from late August to November, including ten conference matches as they will attempt to return to the America East playoffs for the third consecutive season.

Bryant will open their 2024 campaign down south where they will compete in the FAU Tournament in Boca Raton from August 30-31. They will face Florida Atlantic as well as play matches against Ball State and Seton Hall. The Bulldogs will then play their home opener September 4th when they will welcome Stonehill to the Chace for a 7:00pm showdown.

The Bulldogs will then host the Rhode Island Championship competing against in-state rivals URI, Brown, and Providence College. Play begins on Friday September 6th and concludes on Saturday the 7th. See the full tournament schedule HERE

 The Black and Gold will then travel to Worcester to take on Holy Cross on Wednesday the 11th at 7:00pm.The squads next destination is New York where they will compete in the West Point Tournament against Sacred Heart, Hofstra, and host Army on September 13-14. Following a home match against Merrimack on the 17th, the Bulldogs will find themselves back in the Empire State the following weekend; this time taking part in the Kaiser Classic from September 20-21.Bryant will play a doubleheader on the 20th, facing Long Island at 1:00pm followed by Iona at 4:00pm.The team will conclude their final regular season tournament of the year  when they take on St. John's at 2:00pm on the 21st. 

Following a midweek matchup against Central Connecticut on the 24th, Bryant will open conference play against NJIT at home on Friday September 27th at 7:00pm. The Bulldogs will then be on the road as they take on long time NEC foe Sacred Heart on October 2nd and Binghamton on the 6th. The Black and Gold will play two home matches in the month of October. They will first host New Hampshire on Friday the 11th followed by UMBC on the Sunday 13th. Bryant will close out the month on a three-game road trip that will see them face UAlbany, Fairfield, and NJIT. 

The Bulldogs will start off the month of November with a Friday night showdown against Binghamton on the 1st at 7:00pm. Bryant will then head to New Hampshire to square off against the UNH Wildcats on Sunday the 3rd. The Black and Gold will play their final road game of the regular season when they take on UMBC on Sunday November 10th. Senior Day will take place on Saturday November 16th at 2:00pm when the Bulldogs host the Great Danes of UAlbany. The America East Conference Tournament will begin on Friday November 22nd at the site of the highest seed and conclude Saturday the 23rd. 

Bryant will face FAU, Ball State, and Seton Hall for the first time this season. Coach Garlacy also enters her 30th  season four wins away from 600 in her illustrious career. The Bulldogs finished last season 19-12  and 6-4 against conference opponents and were the No. 4 Seed in last year's America East Playoffs.
