Reynolds named NEC XC Athlete of the Week

SMITHFIELD, R.I. – After opening her senior season with a fifth-place finish at the Nassaney Invitational, Martha Reynolds (London, England) was named the Northeast Conference Women's Cross Country Athlete of the Week, the league announced on Tuesday.

A fifth-year senior, Reynolds finished fifth out of 84 runners this weekend in the Nassaney Invitational hosted at Bryant University. She ran the 5k course in a time of 18:17, averaging a 5:53 mile. The honor is the first of Reynolds's career.

The Bulldogs are off for the next two weeks before competing in the Ted Owen Invitational at CCSU on Sept. 27.
