Bulldogs show well at NCAA Northeast Regional Championship

SMITHFIELD, R.I. – The Bryant University men's and women's cross country teams wrapped up the 2015 season with strong performances at the NCAA Northeast Regional Championships on Friday afternoon at Franklin Park in Boston, Mass.

The Bulldogs finished 33rd out of 38 team on the women's side and 33rd out of 37 teams on the men's side. Providence College took home the women's team title while Syracuse claimed the men's crown.

Elizabeth Willmonton (Rowley, Mass.) paced the Bryant women on Friday, finishing 153rd with a time of 23:23. Emily McNeil (Shelton, Conn.) finished with a time of 23:44, Erin Svensen (Medway, Mass.) posted a time of 23:57, Sarah Lapham (Greenwich, N.Y.) finished with a time of 24:03 and Staci Rezendes (Ludlow, Mass.) rounded out Bryant's top five with a time of 24:26.

On the men's side, Milan Duka (Belgrade, Serbia) finished 110th with a time of 32:46. Russell Stevens (Colchester, Conn.) posted a time of 33:22, Richard Landry (Holyoke, Mass.) finished with a time of 33:38, Ryan Poholek (North Attleboro, Mass.) posted a time of 36:13 and Brian Salit (Seekonk, Mass.) rounded out Bryant's top five with a time of 36:43.
