92 Bulldogs earn NEC Academic Honor Roll distinction this fall

SMITHFIELD, R.I. – A total of 92 Bryant University student-athletes were named to the 2015 Northeast Conference Fall Academic Honor Roll, including 14 who earned Commissioner's Honor Roll distinctions.

The NEC Academic Honor Roll consists of student-athletes who have maintained a cumulative grade point average of 3.20 or above with 656 fall student-athletes qualifying for the distinction in the fall of 2015. Of those 656 student-athletes, 171 were named to the Commissioner's Honor Roll, an accolade that recognizes those who have maintained a GPA of 3.75 or above. The Commissioner's Honor Roll total represents a 22.1 percent increase from a year ago.

Football and women's volleyball led the way with four of its own earning the Commissioner's Honor Roll distinction including football's Tucker Beirne, Andrew Jones, Alexander Plotkin and Joel Schaefer, while women's volleyball added Sara DePouw, Debora Magalhaes, Viktoria Nesterov and Erica Vendituoli. Alexander Evans of the men's cross country team joined Staci Rezendes, Brittany Sarza and Emma Washo of women's cross country on the list of honorees. Women's soccer (Cayla D'Amico) and men's soccer (Chrisopher Knaub) rounded out the list of 14 Bulldogs who achieved a 3.75 GPA or higher this fall.
