Men's cross country tabbed third in NEC preseason poll

SMITHFIELD, R.I. – The Bryant University men's cross country team has been selected third in the annual Northeast Conference Preseason Coaches' Poll, the league officially announced on Thursday.

The Bulldogs are coming off a third-place finish in each of the last two years and return All-NEC performer junior Milan Duka (Belgrade, Serbia). Seven-time defending champion Central Connecticut was the unanimous favorite, receiving all seven first-place votes. Sacred Heart earned the final first-place vote to come in second, while Saint Francis U., Mount St. Mary's, Wagner, St. Francis Brooklyn and Fairleigh Dickinson round out the poll.

The 2016 NEC Cross Country Championships will be hosted by the Red Flash on Saturday, Oct. 29 in Loretto, Pa.
