Duka, McNeil pace Bulldogs at Nassaney Invitational

SMITHFIELD, R.I. – Junior Milan Duka (Belgrade, Serbia) finished sixth and senior Emily McNeil (Shelton, Conn.) posted a 10th-place finish to pace the Bryant University cross country team at the Nassaney Invitational on Saturday morning.

The Bulldog men finished fourth out of five teams, while the Bulldog women finished sixth out of six teams. Boston University won the men's race and Rhode Island took home the women's title.

Duka paced the men with a sixth-place finish, posting a time of 26:11. He was followed by senior Richard Landry (Holyoke, Mass.), sophomore Matt McGovern (Long Beach, N.Y.) and junior Ryan Poholek (North Attleboro, Mass.). Landry finished 20th with a time of 27:00, McGovern was 43rd with a time of 27:42 and Poholek finished 75th with a time of 29:40.

McNeil posted a top-10 finish, crossing the finish line with a time of 18:42. She was followed by junior Elizabeth Willmonton (Rowley, Mass.) and freshmen Jacklyn Sullivan (Plymouth, Mass.) and Olivia Weiss (Newton, N.J.). Willmonton finished 33rd with a time of 19:16, Sullivan finished 65th with a time of 19:31 and Weiss finished 102nd with a time of 20:04.
