Duka, Willmonton pace Bulldogs at Ted Owen Invite

SMITHFIELD, R.I. – Milan Duka (Belgrade, Serbia) and Elizabeth Willmonton (Rowley, Mass.) paced the Bryant University cross country teams on Saturday morning at the Ted Owen Invitational in New Britain, Conn.

The Bulldog men finished sixth out of nine teams, while the women finished seventh out of 11. Vermont won the women's race and Central Connecticut took home the men's team title.

Duka finished eighth to lead the Bulldogs across the line. He posted a time of 26:18.6. Richard Landry (Holyoke, Mass.) finished 20th (27:12.1), Matt McGovern (Long Beach, N.Y.) finished 30th (27:28.6) and Ryan Poholek (North Attleboro, Mass.) finished 69th (29:06.6).

On the women's side, Willmonton finished 26th with a time of 18:45.7. Emily McNeil (Shelton, Conn.) finished 35th (18:56.0), Jacklyn Sullivan (Plymouth, Mass.) finished 43rd (18:59.9) and Melissa Lodge (Hopkinton, Mass.) finished 70th (19:30.6).
