Bulldogs wrap up NEC preparations at CCSU Mini-Meet

SMITHFIELD, R.I. – The Bryant University cross country team wrapped up its preparations for the Northeast Conference Championships on Friday afternoon at the CCSU Mini-Meet in New Britain, Conn.

The Bulldog men finished 12th, while the women finished 10th. Yale won the women's title and Boston University won the men's title.

Milan Duka (Belgrade, Serbia) led the men with a 20th-place finish, crossing the line in a time of 15:33.6. Matt McGovern (Long Beach, N.Y.) finished 56th (16:03.7), Ryan Poholek (North Attleboro, Mass.) finished 77th (16:32.6) and Richard Landry (Holyoke, Mass.) finished 78th (16:35.1).

On the women's side, Melissa Lodge (Hopkinton, Mass.) finished 19th with a time of 10:36.2. Jacklyn Sullivan (Plymouth, Mass.) finished 41st (10:52.7), Elizabeth Willmonton (Rowley, Mass.) finished 46th (10:55.0) and Emily McNeil (Shelton, Conn.) finished 52nd (10:57.2).

The Bulldogs will now travel to Loretto, Pa., next weekend for the NEC Championships.
