SMITHFIELD, R.I. – The Bryant University cross country team will compete in the Northeast Conference Cross Country Championships this weekend at the Immergrun Golf Club in Loretto, Pa.

Saint Francis U. will serve as the host of the championship meet that will begin at 11:00 a.m. with the men's 8k. The women's 5k will follow at noon.

Last season, the Bulldogs finished third in both the men's and women's race. They were picked to match those finishes this weekend in Loretto.

On the men's side, junior Milan Duka (Belgrade, Serbia) leads the Bulldogs. A two-time All-NEC performer, Duka is looking to become the first male runner in Bryant's DI history to become a three-time all-league selection. Duka finished ninth as a freshman and 10th last fall.

One the women's side, the Bulldogs will look to Emily McNeil (Shelton, Conn.), Elizabeth Willmonton (Rowley, Mass.) and Melissa Lodge (Hopkinton, Mass.). All three have led the Black and Gold at least once this season, while McNeil and Willmonton are former All-NEC performers. McNeil is a former NEC Rookie of the Year and Willmonton finished sixth at last year's championships.
