Bulldogs wrap up 2016 season at ECAC/IC4A Championships

SMITHFIELD, R.I. – The Bryant University cross country teams officially wrapped up the 2016 season on Saturday, Nov. 19 at the ECAC/IC4A Championships held at Van Cortlandt Park in New York.

The Bulldog women finished 11th out of 18 teams, while the men placed 17th out of 19 teams.

Junior Melissa Lodge (Hopkinton, Mass.) led all runners with a 12th-place finish, crossing the finish line with a time of 19:04. Senior Emily McNeil (Shelton, Conn.) finished 60th (20:01), junior Elizabeth Willmonton (Rowley, Mass.) finished 73rd (20:09), freshman Olivia Weiss (Newton, N.J.) finished 74th (20:10), classmate Jacklyn Sullivan (Plymouth, Mass.) finished 74th (20:11) and senior Sarah Lapham (Greenwich, Conn.) finished 83rd (20:19).

On the men's side, junior Milan Duka (Belgrade, Serbia) finished 34th (26:56) to lead the Bulldogs. Sophomore Matt McGovern (Long Beach, N.Y.) finished 86th (27:47), senior Richard Landry (Holyoke, Mass.) finished 114th (28:19), junior Ryan Poholek (North Attleboro, Mass.) finished 165th (30:04), senior Ryan Gannon (Litchfield, Conn.) finished 179th (30:49), sophomore Brian Salit (Seekonk, Mass.) finished 181st (30:51) and freshman Harrison McKinlay (Sutton, Mass.) finished 183rd (30:55).
