Tellier, Lodge lead Bulldogs at 17th annual Nassaney Invitational

SMITHFIELD, R.I. – Freshman Noah Tellier (North Kingstown, Rhode Island) finished 13th overall and senior Melissa Lodge (Hopkinton, Massachusetts) finished 14th at the 17th annual Shawn M. Nassaney Memorial Invitational held at Bryant University on Saturday morning.

The Bulldog men finished fourth overall in the 8K, while the women landed a fifth place finish in the 5K.

Led by Tellier's 13th-place finish, Bryant had three representatives finish in the top 25 of both the men's and women's meets.

MEET NOTES

  • Ryan Poholek (North Attleboro, Massachusetts) improved by 2:37 compared to last year's event. Poholek finished 15th overall with a time of 27:03.0.
  • Jacklyn Sullivan (Plymouth, Massachusetts) also improved on her time in comparison to the 2016 Nassaney Invitational. Sullivan's time of 18:55.0 topped her 2016 time by over 40 seconds.

UP NEXT

The Bulldogs will compete in the Ted Owens Invitational on Sept. 23. The event is held in New Britain, Connecticut at Central Connecticut State. Events are set to begin at 11 a.m.
