Bulldogs finish strong at NEICAAA Championships

BOSTON, MASS. – The Bryant University cross country teams competed in the NEICAAA Championships this morning in Boston. Matthew McGovern (Long Beach, N.Y) was the top finisher for the men, while Breann Campise (Tolland, Conn.) led the way for the women.

The women rounded out the 24 spot while the men marked their best all-time finish at the NEICAAA Championships.

MEET NOTES

  • McGovern jumped up 73 spots from the last time Bryant ran in the NEICAAA's in 2016, and improved his time by 40 seconds.
  • Jason Dolan (Westford, Mass.) finished in the top 100 out of 189 male runners. The rookie improved his time from the Bulldogs last meet at the Ted Owens Invitational by over a minute.
  • Campise ran in the same meet in 2016 and improved her time by about 20 seconds and climbed 64 spots to finish 132 out of 168 female participants.
