Bulldogs to compete in first-ever Vermont Fall Foliage Invitational Saturday

SMITHFIELD, R.I. – As the men come off of their best all-time finish at the NEICAAA Championships, the Bryant University men's and women's country teams are set to compete in the first-ever Vermont Fall Foliage Invitational hosted by UVM on Saturday.

Bulldogs Notes and Notables

  • This is the first year that UVM has held the Vermont Fall Foliage Invitational.  
  • Saturday's meet will be a homecoming for freshman Bodie Avery (Fairlee, Vt.) as he gets the chance to compete in his home state.  
  • The men's team is coming off of their best all-time finish at the NEICAAA Championships last week as they placed 21 out of 26 teams.
  • Matt McGovern (Long Beach, N.Y.) and Jason Dolan (Westford, Mass.) lead the way for the men finishing in the top 100 out of 189 male runners.
  • The women placed in the 24 spot last week at the NEICAAA Championships as Breann Campise (Tolland, Conn.) was the best female Bulldog finisher. Campise improved her time from last year by about 20 seconds and finished 132 out of 168 female runners.
