Bulldogs head back to CCSU for Mini Meet

SMITHFIELD, R.I. – The Bryant University men's and women's cross country teams will be traveling to Central Connecticut on Friday for the CCSU Mini Meet as the last meet to prepare before the NEC Championships.

Course: Stanley Quarter Park

Time: 3:30 p.m.

Bulldogs Notes and Notables

  • Freshman Sarah Freeman (Merrimac, Mass.) finished last week's race with her best career finish of 20:29.2.
  • Matt McGovern (Long Beach, N.Y) finished in the top 15 for the men at the Vermont Fall Foliage Invitational. McGovern finished 13th with a time of 26:20.3.
  • Both teams are going back to Central Connecticut to compete for the second time this season. However, the course will be shortened as the men will be running a 5K and the women will be running a 3K race.
  • The last time at CCSU, Jason Dolan (Westford, Mass.), Noah Tellier (North Kingstown, R.I.) and McGovern finished in the top 10. On the women's side, Breann Campise (Tolland, Conn.) led the way finished in the 33rd spot.
