Iamarone earns NEC Rookie of the Week honors
SOMERSET, N.J. – Freshman Jonathan Iamarone (Providence, R.I.) from the Bryant University cross country team has been selected as this week's Northeast Conference Rookie of the Week, as announced by the conference office Wednesday.
Iamarone competed in his first collegiate race over the weekend at the 19th Annual Nassaney Invitational. The rookie finished 31st overall out of 126 runners and was the third runner for the Black and Gold to cross the finish line behind sophomore Jason Dolan (Westford, Mass.) and junior Jordan Dagrin (North Kingstown, R.I.). Iamarone posted a time of 26:17.8.
The Bulldogs are back in action on Saturday, Sept. 28 when they take the trip to Central Connecticut for the Ted Owens Invitational.
