Bulldogs travel to New York for NCAA Northeast Regional

SMITHFIELD, R.I. – The Bryant University cross country team is set to in the NCAA Division I Northeast Regional on Friday, Nov. 15 in Amherst, N.Y. The women will kick off the day in a 6K run at 11 a.m. followed by the men's 10K at 12 p.m.

BULLDOGS NOTES AND NOTABLES

  • Bryant returns a combined six runners between both the men's and women's teams to the Northeast Regional. Julia Ayres (Collegeville, Pa.), Breann Campise (Tolland, Conn.), Sarah Freeman (Merrimac, Mass.), and Caroline Meizen (Douglas, Mass.) return for the women while Jordan Dagrin (North Kingstown, R.I.) and Jason Dolan (Westford, Mass.) represent the returning men.
  • Jonathan Iamarone (Providence, R.I.), Evan Coyne (Hancock, N.H.), Bodie Avery (Fairlee, Vt.), Nicholas Brancato (Liverpool, N.Y.), and Benjamin Carlson (Middletown, Conn.) are set to make their Regional debut along with Abby Hamilton (Grafton, Mass.), Allison Corcoran (Grafton, Mass.), and Jess Cook (Liverpool, England).
  • Of the returning men, Dolan led the Bulldogs last season with a time of 37:33.5 in 203rd place out of 241 male runners.
  • Dagrin finished 227th with a time of 39:00.7 last year. In his rookie season in 2017, Dagrin ran his best 10K time at Regionals at 37:29.8.
  • Ayres led the women last season in 218th place out of 243 female runners with a time of 26:28.0.
  • Campise trailed closely behind with a time of 26:55.7.
