Slaney makes school history at America East Championships

ORONO, M.E.- Junior Ryan Slaney placed second in the Men's 8k at the America East Championships on Friday with a time of 24:27.66. This would mark the highest finish ever for a Bulldog in a conference meet.The men's team finished seventh overall with Justin Shiffrin, Dawson Reynolds, Aiden Masse, and Nolan Hickey joining Slaney as point scorers. Sophomore Jasmine Trott finished the race in 6th place and improved her personal best by 14 seconds (18:07.59). The women also placed 7th overall with Chloe Whiting, Kelley MacElhiney and Abby Hamilton, and Emma Nadolski joining Trott as point scorers. Sophomore Aiden Masse also set a new person best at the race with a time of 26:40.7; improving by 25 seconds.
