Bryant hosts NJIT on Senior Day

SMITHFIELD, R.I. – The Bryant University men's basketball team will honor its senior class on Saturday afternoon when it welcomes NJIT to the Chace Athletic Center. Tip is set for 4:00 p.m.

THE SERIES
Bryant and NJIT will meet for the second time this season. The Bulldogs won the first meeting, 70-55, and have won all three meetings between the programs as America East foes. Five Bulldogs scored in double figures, led by 13 from Connor Withers, in the first meeting.

Earl Timberlake has enjoyed one of the best seasons in the America East, entering Saturday averaging 15.0 ppg, 9.0 rpg, 4.03 apg, 1.3 bpg and 1.3 spg. He has been even better in America East play, averaging 17.2 and 9.1. 

FIVE MORE THINGS TO KNOW

  1. Sherif Gross-Bullock is averaging a team-best 19.1 ppg in America East play. He has seven 20-point games in league play.  
  2. Timberlake posted 14 points, seven rebounds and five assists on Thursday at UMass Lowell. He is averaging a career-best 4.0 assists per game this season.      
  3. Daniel Rivera is coming off a career-high 29 points on Thursday. He also added 11 rebounds for his fifth double-double of the year. Rivera is averaging 14.6 ppg and 8.5 rpg in league play.    
  4. Bryant will honor its senior class prior to Saturday's game. That list includes Sherif Gross-Bullock, Earl Timberlake, Doug Edert, John Shannon, Tim Kiggins, Kvonn Cramer and Tyler Brelsford.
  5. The Bulldogs have clinced the No. 3 seed in the 2024 Jersey Mike's America East Men's Basketball Playoffs and will host a quarterfinal game on Saturday, March 9 at 2:00 p.m.
