Bryant hosts Manhattan Saturday in Conaty Indoor

SMITHFIELD, R.I. – The Bryant University men's lacrosse team will return from the road to welcome Manhattan Saturday morning. Faceoff is set for 11:00 a.m. inside the Conaty Indoor Athletic Center.

Saturday's game was scheduled to be played at Beirne Stadium but has been moved inside the Conaty Indoor and will now start at 11:00 a.m. Only fans on the team pass list will be admitted.

THE SERIES
Bryant leads the all-time series between the two schools, 4-1. The two teams haven't played since early 2020, a 16-5 victory for the Bulldogs.   

SCOUTING MANHATTAN
The Jaspers have been off to a hot start at 3-1 with the only loss coming to Princeton which is one of the nation's top 5 ranked teams, where they actually lead 5-4 at the half. Kyle Gucwa just reached his career 100th point against NJIT and leads the team in points this year with 16 (7g 9a). He's scored 5+ points 2 out of 4 games this season and it's now his 8th straight game with 2+ points as he looks to continue that streak this Saturday.

BRYANT NOTES AND NOTABLES

  • The Bulldogs are 2-1 on the year coming off a 19-12 win against Quinnipiac on the road.  
  • Bryant swept the America East award honors this week with Kevin Groeninger winning Offensive Player of the Week, Drew Lucas with Defensive, and Johnny Hackett with Rookie.
  • Jack Lonsinger leads the America East right now in goals per game with 3.67.
  • Kevin Groeninger is #1 in points per game with 5.33 and #1 in assists per game with 3.00 for the America East.
  • Bryant is one of the best offensive teams right now in the America East leading all three main categories being points, goals, and assists.
  • The Bulldogs have scored 15+ goals in each game this year and rank in the top five nationally in goals per game.
