Bulldogs fall, 1-0, to Red Flash late in the match Friday afternoon

SMITHFIELD, R.I. – After a scoreless first half, the Bryant University men's soccer team was unable to withstand the offensive attack from Saint Francis U., resulting in a 1-0 loss on Friday afternoon.

The Red Flash (7-5, 2-2) were able to find the back of the net, when Francis de Vries went unassisted in the 75th minute, providing the home team with the game-winning goal.

The Bulldogs were led offensively by sophomore Thomas Binder (Vienna, Austria), who rattled off three shots, while juniors Matt Guerriero (Pickering, Ont.) and Curtis Orth (Ancaster, Ont.) each added a pair respectively.

Senior captain Chris Knaub (Yarmouth, Maine) finished the match with 10 saves, while Flash's keeper Macus Rojas tallied three on the night.

The Bulldogs wrap up their regular season road games at Robert Morris on Sunday, beginning at 1 p.m.
