Bulldogs take on Red Flash and Colonials on the road Friday and Sunday

SMITHFIELD, R.I. – Coming off an impressive 3-0 victory over Sacred Heart, the Bryant University men's soccer team returns to play at Saint Francis U. on Friday at 7 p.m. and Robert Morris on Sunday at 1 p.m.

The Bulldogs (3-6-3, 1-1-1) recorded their first conference win of the season in their latest match, defeating Sacred Heart, 3-0, in Smithfield.

Senior Brett Larocque (Ottawa, Ont.) added two points to his season tally, after scoring his fifth goal of the year against Sacred Heart, equating to 12 points with the addition of two assists on the season.

Sophomore Thomas Binder (Vienna, Austria) and junior Matt Guerriero (Pickering, Ont.) have both been forces in the Bulldogs' attack, with Guerriero scoring his second goal of the season in the latest match, while Binder has recorded eight points from three goals and a pair of assists.

Senior Chris Knaub (Yarmouth, Maine) noted his third winning decision and second shutout of the season against the Pioneers. The captain has logged 41 saves, while only allowing 14 opponent scores.

The Red Flash (6-5-3, 1-2) are led offensively by forward Mario Mastrangelo with 13 points from six goals and an assists, while also placing 18 of 32 shots on frame. Francis de Vries has been an offensive threat from the Flash's defense, tallying 11 points off four scores and a trio of helpers. Keeper Andrew Garcia remains in net for the Red Flash, raking in 39 saves, while giving up 14 scores.

Forward Neco Brett leads the Colonials (8-6, 2-1) attack, driving home 10 scores off 32 shots on net. Midfielder Lucas Puntillo has contributed four goals and five helpers to the Colonials' offensive production. Goalie Brenden Alfery has recorded an impressive five shutouts for the Colonials, while allowing 17 opponent goals and recording 83 saves on the season.
