Coach Purcell's Comments

"We had a tough time transitioning from our defense to the midfield and our forwards. The effort was there so I was happy with that. They were good and very direct. We contained them for the most part, but it was just unfortunate in those first 10 minutes they got eight corners in a row and then we fell asleep."

Key Moment

  • One of 12 corners from UMBC was played in from Colin Weyant and was headed home by Kyle Saunderson in what proved to be the game-winning goal.

Scoring Summary

  • 55th minute – UMBC 1, Bryant 0 – Weyant whipped a corner into the box and UMBC was able to capitalize on pressure it was creating to create the game-winning goal.
