EMMITSBURG, MD. – Despite forcing five failed clears and holding Mount St. Mary's to 3-for-11 on free-position shots, the Bryant University women's lacrosse team was not able to complete their second consecutive unbeaten conference season, falling in the regular season finale 12-6 to Mount St. Mary's.

KEY MOMENT

HOW IT HAPPENED

  • Taylor Carhart tied the game for the Mountaineers at the 13:37 mark, but the Bulldogs would rattle off another run, with Brown, DeMeo and junior Emma Ahlrichs (Zionsville, Ind.) gave Bryant its largest lead at 6-3 with 7:56 left.
  • After Davis and Colson scored to end the half, Colson scored 84 seconds into the second and the Mountaineers were off and running.
  • Kate Kinsella scored three goals in the second half, Davis chipped in two more and the Mountaineers rattled off seven goals in a row in the final 30 minutes to take home a 12-6 win.

STATS

  • Bryant was held to seven shots in the second half, but still outshot the Mountaineers 26-24.
  • Thanks to six from junior Meredith James (Essex Fells, N.J.) and four from classmate Lauren Britton (Monmouth Beach, N.J.) the Bulldogs controlled the draw circle 11-8.
