As a junior (2018): Started all 18 games for the Bulldogs ... set program's single-season draw controls record with 92 on the year ... also set career-highs in points (15), ground balls (21) and caused turnovers (11) ... tallied first-career hat trick in season-opener vs. Albany on February 24 ... grabbed 13 draw controls, a program record, at Niagara on March 17 ... Had three ground balls, five draw controls and three caused turnovers in win over Sacred Heart on April 13.
As a sophomore (2017): Appeared in three games as a sophomore, winning one draw control ... Was a member of the 2017 NEC Academic Honor Roll.
As a freshman (2016): Appeared in 10 games in her freshman year, earning a pair of starts ... tallied four points on three goals and an assist ... won 11 draw controls and picked up three ground balls.
Before Bryant: A 2015 graduate of West Essex Regional High School, James was a four-year varsity starter for the Knights … Led team to a conference title in 2013 and county championship in 2014 … Two-time first team all-county and all-conference selection (2014, 2015) … Senior all-star game selection … Two-time Academic All-American selection (2014, 2015) … Also a three-year varsity letter letterwinner in field hockey, where she was a two-time all-county and all-conference pick (2014, 2015) … 2014 Academic All-American in field hockey … Participated in field hockey senior all-star game … Four-year honor roll student.
Personal: Daughter of Jody and Greg James, Meredith James was born April 1, 1997 … Has two brothers, Griffin and Tucker, who also plays lacrosse for the Bulldogs.
