Guilmette scores Bulldogs' game-winning goal in overtime against Colonials Sunday afternoon

SMITHFIELD, R.I. – In the first overtime period, freshman Alison Guilmette (Coventry, R.I.) scored the game-winning goal, to lead the Bryant University women's soccer team to a 1-0 victory over Robert Morris.

Guilmette carried the ball down the right side, lofting a shot high from 25 yards out, that finished in the top left corner, sealing the Bulldogs' (4-9-1, 3-1-0) win over the Colonials (5-8-0, 1-1-0) in the 98th minute.

The Black and Gold recorded seven shots, placing four on frame, while the Colonials tallied 18, locating seven on target.

Junior keeper Kaylan Conrad (Avon, Conn.) raked in seven saves, whereas Robert Morris' goalie tallied three.

The Bulldogs remain in conference play, when they host Mount St. Mary's on Friday, Oct. 16 at 3 p.m.
