BULLDOG VOLLEYBALL ADDS ONE TO COMPLETE FIVE-MEMBER CLASS OF 2016

SMITHFIELD, R.I. -- Head coach Theresa Garlacy is pleased to announce the addition of Victoria Bryan (Newton, Mass.) to the Bryant University volleyball Class of 2016. Bryan will bring the count of new faces to five when the Bulldogs suit up for their first season with full NCAA Division I eligibility this fall.

A 5-foot-11 outside hitter, Bryan was a three-year varsity starter and senior captain at Newton South High School, where she led her team in kills, digs and aces in 2011. A First-Team DCL All-Star selection, she was voted the league's Most Valuable Player as a senior.

Bryan also stands out in the classroom, where she is an honor roll student and peer leader and also serves as the President of the Ireland Club. A excellent athlete and gifted jumper, she will be looked toward to contribute right away as part of a highly touted five-player rookie class.

The daughter of Shawn and Antoinette Bryan, she plans to study international business at Bryant.

Bryan joins incoming freshmen Claire Van Dyk, Taylor Onoyan, Jana Kmec and Jordan Thornlow to complete the Bulldog volleyball Class of 2016.
