McGovern was selected as the NEC Rookie of the Week and named to the All-Tournament team of the Hampton Inn-vitational with a solid all-around performance, averaging 2.89 kills and 2.22 digs per set while hitting .288 in a 2-1 weekend for Bryant. The outside hitter from Long Island recorded a career-best 10 kills in Friday’s sweep of North Dakota. McGovern ranks second on the Bulldogs in kills per set (2.18), digs per set (2.36) and total aces (7) through her first seven matches in Black & Gold.
