39 named to NEC Winter Academic Honor Roll; 10 named to Commissioner's Honor Roll

SMITHFIELD, R.I. – A total of 39 Bryant University student-athletes were named to the 2016-17 Northeast Conference Winter Academic Honor Roll, including 10 who earned Commissioner's Honor Roll distinctions.

The NEC Academic Honor Roll consists of student-athletes who have maintained a cumulative grade point average of 3.20 or above with 539 student-athletes qualifying for the distinction in the winter of 2016-17. Of those 539 student-athletes, 140 were named to the Commissioner's Honor Roll, an accolade that recognizes those who have maintained a GPA of 3.75 or above.

Men's track and field led the way with six of its own earning the Commissioner's Honor Roll distinction including Kyle Walker, Christopher Wrenn, Brian Salit, Charles Buress, Alexander Evans and Justin Patterson. Nicole Salzano (Women's Swimming and Diving), Morgan Olander (Women's Basketball), Rebecca Nunez (Women's Track and Field) and Jacklyn Sullivan (Women's Track and Field) round out the list of 10 Bulldogs who achieved a 3.75 GPA or higher this winter.
