Bulldogs put 49 on NEC Winter Academic Honor Roll

SOMERSET, N.J. – Bryant University student-athletes enjoyed an outstanding 2017-18 Winter Season as 49 were named to the Northeast Conference Academic Honor Roll, including 8 who were named to the NEC's Commissioner's Honor Roll.

The Winter Academic Honor Roll consists of 600 student-athletes with a 3.20 or better grade point average, an 11.3 percent increase from 2016-17. There were also 186 student-athletes named to the Winter Commissioner's Honor Roll, recognizing those superior student-athletes with a 3.75 or better grade point average. The Commissioner's Honor Roll figure represents a whopping 32.9 percent increase from a year ago.

The Bulldogs' 8 Winter Commissioner's Honor Roll recipients were women's basketball's Julia Kelner (Fayetteville, N.Y.), men's indoor track and field's Bill Conlan (Seymour, Conn.), Alexander Evans (Bow, N.H.), Brian Salit (Seekonk, Mass.) and Christopher Wrenn (Norton, Mass.), women's indoor track and field's Jacklyn Sullivan (Plymouth, Mass.) and women's swimming and diving's Nicole Salzano (Elmwood Park, N.J.) and Elin Svärd (Falun, Dalarna, Sweden)
