Bryant Athletics supporting Special Olympics

SMITHFIELD, R.I. – Bryant University was once again proud to be a part of the annual Special Olympics Rhode Island Fall Festival on November 14, 2021 with several varsity athletic teams on hand throughout the day to ensure the event was yet again a tremendous success.

Teams, including Bryant softball, volleyball, women's tennis and many others, including several members of the football team who earned a big 52-7 win over Long Island the day before, arrived at Beirne Stadium at sunrise to help with everything from setting up the competition areas, serving as officials, and supporting the hundreds of athletes and families competing during the day.

Special Olympics Rhode Island is one of the state's most dynamic programs, providing over 1,600 year-round sports training and athletic competition opportunities to more than 4,000 children and adults with intellectual disabilities.
