Davies, Barletta elected to NE-10 Hall of Fame

MANSFIELD, Mass. -- Bryant University women's basketball alum Liz Davies and Bryant University men's lacrosse alum Kevin Barletta have been elected to Northeast-10 Hall of Fame, the league announced on Monday, August 21. 

Davies and Barletta, both members of the Bryant Athletics Hall of Fame, are part of the NE10 Hall of Fame Class of 2023. 

One of the greatest basketball players in Bryant history, Davies becomes the first women's basketball player in school history elected to the NE-10 Hall of Fame. A 1996 graduate of then-Bryant College, Davies was inducted into the Bryant Athletics Hall of Fame in 2002. 

From 1992-1996, Davies dominated the hardwood in Smithfield and throughout the NE-10. She was named the NE-10 Freshman of the Year following the 1992-93 season and would go on to earn NE-10 First Team All-Conference honors three times. Davies finished her career with 2,059 points, still the most in program history. She averaged 18.7 ppg during her career and a program-best 20.1 ppg during her senior season. Davies helped the Black and Gold reach a pair of NCAA Tournaments and claim an ECAC Championship.

Barletta also becomes the first men's lacrosse player in school history to be elected to the NE-10 Hall of Fame. A 2003 graduate of then-Bryant College, Barletta was inducted into the Bryant Athletics Hall of Fame in 2009. 

From 2000-2003, Barletta was the face of an up-and-coming program in the Northeast. He was named the NE-10 Rookie of the Year in 2000 and went on to finish his Bryant career with a program record 286 points, a number that still stands today. Along the way, Barletta was a three-time USILA All-American, including two first-team selections, and registered three of the top 10 single-season scoring marks in school history. He recorded a single-season school record 91 points (41g, 50a) in 2001 and still holds the school record for career assists.
