Bio

Liam Medina joined the Bryant University staff in October, 2023 serving as the Leadership Gifts Officer, Athletics. In this newly created role, Liam is responsible for the qualification, cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship of leadership gift prospects in support of Bryant Athletics and the Black and Gold Club.

In addition to these responsibilities, Medina will assist in the design and implementation of the Black and Gold Club strategic annual plan in support of an overall effort to build, retain, and increase the member pipeline critical to the success of Vision 2030. “Following an extensive national search, we are ecstatic to welcome Liam to Bryant,” said Mike Bamonti, Senior Associate Athletics Director and Director of Athletics Development. “Liam’s attention to detail, prior work experience at uniquely profiled institutions and passion for championing the student-athlete experience will undoubtedly serve him well in advancing philanthropic relationships with Bryant Athletics’ most ardent supporters.”

Prior to joining Bryant, Liam held annual giving positions at Springfield College, his alma mater, and Elms College, where he was responsible for the execution of comprehensive strategies focused on solicitation, communications, and stewardship of donors and the management of student groups and volunteers.

Liam also previously worked at Wake Forest University as an Athletic Development Assistant, assisting in the organization and launch of the International Leadership Circle, a core group of supporters who have shown a loyal commitment to and investment in student-athletes, and strategies related to donor acquisition and retention. 

Originally from South Hadley, Massachusetts, Liam graduated from Springfield in 2019 with a degree in Sport Management, and is currently pursuing his Master’s degree in Sport Administration at the University of Louisville. He currently resides in North Smithfield.
