Bio

Associate Athletic Director for Recreation Nick Schleicher enters his 11th year in 2023-24. His primary responsibilities include daily operation of Athletic and Recreation Operations. He oversees Athletic Operations for all 25 NCAA sponsored sports, as well as, the Chace Wellness Center, Fitness Center, Club Sports, Intramurals, Aquatics, and Group Exercise classes. He also serves on the Student Involvement Fee Committee, as well as, the Wellness Committee. 

Schleicher was named Director of Intramural and Club Sports in August 2013 and was promoted to Assistant Athletic Director for Recreation in June of 2017, and elevated to Associate Athletic Director in August 2022. 

Bryant's club sports and intramural sports have thrived under Schleicher, with the ultimate frisbee (2018), cheer and dance team (2019), and women's rugby(2019) taking home National Championships. Bryant has also sent multiple club sports teams, including Men's Rugby, Men's Volleyball, Racquetball, and Tennis to the national tournament during Schleicher's tenure. 

Schleicher has also overseen the upgrades to the Chace Wellness Center that included brand new state-of-the-art fitness equipment and visual branding.

A 2008 graduate of Bridgewater State University, Schleicher landed a job at BSU in the Athletics and Recreation Department as the Assistant Director of Campus Recreation. He also was a visiting lecturer in the Physical Education and Movement Arts Department teaching Athletic Administration and PE activity classes. He is a certified recreational sports specialist and an active member of NIRSA (National Intramural-Recreational Sports Association)

Schleicher earned his Masters in Athletic Administration from Endicott College in December of 2011. He and his wife Kaitlyn reside in Norton, Ma and have three children Colton, Kennedy, and Kinsley.
