What is SAAC E-board?

SAAC E-board is a group of students-athletes that allows for communication between student-athletes and the athletic administration. SAAC also plays a critical role in helping our athletic teams stay active in the community through events such as canned food drives.

When does SAAC meet?

SAAC has meetings every other Sunday during the fall semester and once a month during the spring semester. All meeting are Sunday night in the Bulldog room.

AVAILABLE POSITIONS:

- Secretary - All year (2 members)
o Record minutes and record notes at each meeting in order to keep track of what was covered at each meeting

- Treasurer - All year
o Keep track of the club’s finances and budgets throughout the academic year

- Social media team – All year (2 members)
o Help run SAAC Twitter and Instagram
o Use creative resources to help create SAAC video campaigns via our YouTube channel

- Money Wars - February (4 members)
o Fundraising event and competition that occurs at all NEC institutions
o Help raise funds for the charity of NEC’s choice via online donations and larger fundraising events

- Midnight Madness Committee - November (5 members)
o Organize and manage the winter sports introduction event
o Arrange contests, entertainment, and emcees

- Canned food drive – November (4 members)
o A two-week NEC competition to collect the most canned goods that will then be donated to Rhode Island Food Bank

- Minis for Many- All year (2 members)
o Help remind and collect miniature soaps, shampoos, and lotions from hotels as teams travel throughout the year
o Find a shelter or organization that will accept these donations in Spring 2019
