Bryant Hall of Fame welcomes Jeff Doppelt

Bryant Hall of Fame welcomes Jeff Doppelt

This week, Bryant Athletics will be announcing the Hall of Fame Class of 2015. The eight-member class will be announced alphabetically on twitter @BryantAthletics.  We are pleased to welcome contributor and former baseball standout Jeff Doppelt ’73 into the Hall of Fame.

The success of Bryant Athletics can be attributed to the hard work and dedication of the student-athletes, coaches, trainers and administration, but also to the many supporters of the Black & Gold. Bryant is fortunate to have these individuals who have supported its various programs with the necessary resources to allow the opportunity to compete at the Division I level.  Doppelt is one such individual. A member of the Bryant baseball team just as the school was making its move from Providence to Smithfield, Doppelt was a valuable member of the team throughout his career, leading the squad in batting average, slugging percentage and extra base hits.

Doppelt joins men’s lacrosse standout David Beirne on the list of inductees into the hall of fame.

Members of the Bryant Athletics Hall of Fame are elected every two years into four different categories: student-athletes, coaches and administrators, teams, and contributors.
