Bryant Baseball Wins Rubber Match at Limestone 8-5

GAFFNEY, S.C. - The Bryant baseball team remained hot, defeating Limestone College 8-5 in the rubber match game Sunday afternoon.

With the victory, the Bulldogs have won six of seven and are now 6-7 overall this season.

3B Dylan Stone launched his first home the season, a two-run shot in the sixth inning, while DH Jeff Vigurs drilled his second of the year to lead the way for the Bulldogs.

Kevin Cobb (1-0) was sharp on the hill for the Bulldogs, scattering five runs and striking out four in 7.2 innings. Adam Vuolo came on and got the final four outs of the game to earn his third save.

A three-run fourth inning, capped by a two-out, two-run double by CF Nick Campbell gave the Bulldogs a lead they would never relinquish.

Bryant continues its 12-game roadtrip against Indiana (PA) at Mt. Olive, NC Monday at 7 p.m.
