Baseball Defeats Indiana (PA) 6-1 in Mount Olive, PA
MOUNT OLIVE, P.A. - Junior right-hander Eric Loh (Old Greenwich, CT) pitched seven innings of three-hit ball to lead the Bulldogs to their seventh win in eight games and a .500 record, 6-1 over Indiana (PA) Monday night.
Loh (1-1) struck out five and escaped from a bases full, no-out jam in the second allowing only one run, his only blemish of the game.
The Bulldogs countered with three runs in the second as OF Taylor Ferguson (Charlton, Mass.) led off with a double and 3B Jason Alexander (Simsbury, CT) and SS Pat McKenna (Orange, CT) added singles to give Bryant a lead they would not surrender.
McKenna continued his hot hitting, getting two hits in three at-bats while driving home two, while C Jeff Vigurs (South Windsor, CT) added two hits and scored a run. OF T.J. Magnell (Leominster, Mass.) reached bases three times in the win.
Chris Foundas (Needham, Mass.) pitched two perfect innings of relief to secure the victory.
Bryant took advantage of seven errors and five free passes by Indiana (PA).
The Bulldogs (7-7) continue their roadtrip Tuesday against Mount Olive (6 p.m). The Trojans (19-8, 7-2) are ranked 26th in the Collegiate Baseball Div. II Top 30 Poll, announced Monday.
