Baseball Wins Fifth Straight with 18-1 Victory at Saint Anselm

Baseball Wins Fourth Straight 18-1 at Saint Anselm

MANCHESTER, N.H. – The Bryant baseball team continued its hot streak, routing Saint Anselm 18-1 Wednesday afternoon.

The Bulldogs pounded out 11 hits and took advantage of 10 walks and four Hawk errors in the victory.

Luke Cowan (Atlanta, GA) (2-3) threw five shutout innings to get the win. Four relievers rounded out the game, allowing just two hits and one run, while striking out six.

CF Nick Campbell (Raynham, Mass.) led the way at the plate with three hits in four at-bats, while driving home four runs and scoring three times. SS Pat McKenna (Orange, CT) continued his outstanding season, scoring five runs and reaching base safely in all five at-bats.  LF T.J. Magnell (Leominster, Mass.) also drove home four runs.

Eight starters scored runs as the Bulldogs put the game away with seven runs in the fourth and six in the ninth.

With the victory, Bryant surpassed last season’s win total of 18.
