BRYANT GRADUATES 13 STUDENT-ATHLETES IN SPECIAL CEREMONY TUESDAY AFTERNOON, AS BASEBALL AND MEN'S LACROSSE PREPARE TO COMPETE IN NCAA ACTION SATURDAY

SMITHFIELD, RI -- Due to the success of the Bulldog baseball and men's lacrosse teams, Bryant University held a special graduation ceremony Tuesday afternoon to honor and graduate 13 student-athletes who will miss Saturday's all-University graduation as they compete in NCAA Tournament action.

Six baseball seniors and seven men's lacrosse seniors graduated among family, friends, coaches and teammates Tuesday in a special ceremony held in the Bello Center.

From the baseball team, seniors Jason Alexander, Eric Loh, Ben Conn, Adam Vuolo, Mark Dondero and Dave Muscatello flipped their tassles as they crossed the stage. The Bulldog baseball team is the No. 2 seed in the NCAA Northeast Regional this weekend, May 15-18, in Rindge, N.H.

From men's lacrosse, Vince Zorskas, Brent Stoothoff, Jesse Rose, Zach Rosenow, Grady Moore, Michael Kennedy and Joseph Cotilletta walked in the ceremony. The men hit the road this weekend and travel to Syracuse, NY for a Saturday afternoon faceoff with Northeast-10 rival Le Moyne College in the NCAA Semifinals.

Bryant University President Ronald Machtley spoke at the ceremony, wishing both teams of seniors luck not only in their weekend contests, but their life endeavors as well.
