Bryant baseball drops 13-0 decision Saturday at Oklahoma State

STILLWATER, OKLA.  – Oklahoma State scored 13 runs on 19 hits en route to a 13-0 victory over Bryant University Saturday afternoon at Reynolds Stadium. The Cowboys accounted for all of their runs in the first three innings, plating three in the bottom of the first and adding five in both the second and third inning to improve to 2-0 on the season.

Bryant (0-2) starter Craig Schlitter (Guilford, Conn.) took the loss allowing seven runs in his first career start on the mound for the Bulldogs before giving way to David O'Brien (Whitman, Mass.).  The Bulldogs managed just four hits in the game as OSU starter Andrew Heaney pitched seven strong innings allowing just a pair of hits while striking out eight and walking just one.

Vince Wheeland would close out the game pitching a scoreless eighth and ninth inning.

Joseph Carcone (New Hartford, NY), Jordan English (Windsor Locks, Conn.), Jamie Skagerlind (Holden, Mass.) and Mike DelPonte (Tewksbury, Mass.) accounted for Bryant's four hits in the game.

The Bulldogs and Cowboys will close out the three-game season-opening series Sunday with a single game at 1 p.m.
