As a freshman: Emerged as one of the Bulldogs shutdown arms out of the bullpen in his first season in Smithfield ... Made 22 appearances out of the bullpen, going 0-1 with a save and a 2.51 ERA in 32 1/3 innings ... He struck out 20, walked 15 and teams hit just .223 against him ... Struck out four and allowed just one run over two innings in his first career appearance against Marshall (Feb. 18) ... Put together seven consecutive scoreless innings early in the season that culminated with three scorless innings against Boston College (Mar. 21) ... He struck out four and allowed just two hits against the Eagles ... Earned his first collegiate save against Quinnipiac (Apr. 21) with two innings of scoreless relief ... The outings was part of 13 1/3 scoreless innings spanning seven appearances from Apr. 14 - May 4 ... He struck out eight and walked only three in that span.
