Rinn earns Second Team All-ECAC honors

SMITHFIELD, R.I. – Bryant University baseball junior first baseman Robby Rinn (Warwick, R.I.) has been named Second Team All-Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC), the conference office announced on Tuesday.

A First Team All-NEC selection each of the past two years, this is the first time Rinn has been named to the All-ECAC team. The two teams were comprised of student-athletes from 88 Division I institutions along the east coast.

Rinn started in all but five games this season for the Bulldogs, finishing second on the team with a .322 average. He saw his power numbers surge, however, clubbing 21 doubles, two triples and seven home runs, all career-highs. Rinn compiled 107 total bases, drove in 43 runs, scored 44 runs and struck out just 14 times in 184 at-bats. Defensively, he committed just three errors in 428 chances for a .993 fielding percentage.
