Bingel named NEC, NEIBA Pitcher of the Week

SMITHFIELD, R.I. – Bryant University baseball junior Brandon Bingel (Peabody, Mass.) has been named the Northeast Conference and New England Intercollegiate Baseball Association (NEIBA) Pitcher of the Week for his performance this past weekend, the two groups announced on Monday.

Bingel helped the Bulldogs earn their first win over the University of Maryland, tossing six scoreless innings on Saturday. He allowed just three hits, walked three and struck out three in the longest outing of his season. With the win, Bingel improved to 2-1 on the year and lowered his ERA 3.20.

The Bulldogs continue their spring break trip on Wednesday when they visit the University of Delaware. First pitch is scheduled for 3:00 p.m.
