Ward listed among top 100 players by College Baseball Daily

SMITHFIELD, R.I. – Bryant University baseball redshirt sophomore Ryan Ward (Millbury, Mass.) has been named one of top 100 players in the country by College Baseball Daily.

The 2018 Collegiate Baseball Newspaper Co-National Freshman Player of the Year, Ward was listed at No. 62 on Thursday.

Ward enjoyed the greatest season in Bryant history in 2018, hitting .409 with a program and Northeast Conference-record 101 hits. He also set a program record for total bases (157) in a season and added 22 doubles, five triples, eight home runs, 52 RBI and 51 runs scored. Ward went on to earn NEC and New England Player and Rookie of the Year honors in addition to eight separate All-American citations.

The Bulldogs open the 2019 season with a three-game series at Abilene Christian (Feb. 15-17).
