Woods named NEC Co-Player of the Week

SOMERSET, N.J. -- Bryant University baseball senior Matt Woods was named the Northeast Conference Co-Player of the Week on Tuesday. 

Woods hit .556 and slugged 1.111 with two doubles, a triple and two home runs. In addition he had 10 RBIs and seven runs scored in four games. He went 8-11 with six runs and five RBIs over the last two games of Bryant's series win over Merrimack. Woods went 3-for-5 with a triple, home run and four RBI on Friday and closed the series with five hits and three runs scored. 

In addition, Christian Allegretti and Alex Lane were named #NECPrimePerformers. Allegretti tossed 5.1 scoreless innings of relief to earn the win in game two, while Lane had two homers, nine RBI and nine runs scored.
