Bulldogs drop series final with Maine, 1-0
SMITHFIELD, R.I. – Tyler Horvat tossed a complete game but the Bryant baseball team fell to Maine, 1-0, in the series finale on Sunday at Conaty Park.
The Bulldogs fall to 11-10 overall and 2-1 in America East play following the loss. Bryant won the series with a sweep of Friday's doubleheader.
Sunday's series finale was a pitchers duel between Horvat and Maine's Luke Lavigueur. Horvat allowed one run on six hits, walked one and struck out six in a complete game. Lavigueur tossed 7.0 shutout innings, while Carson closed the door with 2.0 scoreless innings of relief.
