HOCKEY DOMINATES CCSU TO CLAIM OVERTIME WIN

NORTH SMITHFIELD, R.I. – This past Sunday, December 1st the Bryant University and Central Connecticut State Hockey teams got snowed into the RI Sports Center during their 2:50 PM game. 

Final Score

  • Bryant University 5 – 4 CCSU 

Game Info

  • #16 Alex Uva put the Bulldogs on the board with assistance from #9 Matt Mancini and #13 Matt Hulse 

  • #18 Tyler Reynolds took the lead with a power-play goal originating from #8 Matt Toner 

  • Into the second period, #29 Nick Glass scored on a pass from #13 Matt Hulse to tie the match 3-3 

  • #22 Matt Ricci broke the tie on a power play with a goal on the redirect from #17 Malthe Helt 

  • #19 Kyle Roberts scored an unassisted overtime goal and secured the win for the Bulldogs 

Highlights

  • The Bulldogs outshot the Blue Devils 51-32 SOG 

  • The game was a heated back and forth with the score tied for the majority of the game 

  • #19 Kyle Roberts was named Player of the Game for his excellent performance both during the game and in overtime 

  • The Bulldogs maintain a game record of 9-5 for the season so far

  • “I think we did a really good job of playing together as a team and picking each other up to come back from later deficits. We could have worked on playing an entire game because we had some moments where we lacked focus. In overtime, we knew somebody had to score because we couldn’t afford to lose. I just knew we all trusted each other when we had the puck and it ended up working out.” – #19 Kyle Roberts
